Dude... reinstalling windows is the best way you can solve these problems. It always work because it deletes everything on your computer, and nothing can come back. So beware. It will work. Unless you have a virus that got loaded onto a cd and when you put it in your comp it could come back so make sure you are good to go.

yeah its your best bet. i would re-install windows but also make sure you format the drive. i think maybe you would delete the partition and start from scratch.
only reason i say this is that i think there is a install feature that just replaces the Windows OS source files and nothing else, leaving you with all existing programs. Might want to make sure you wipe everything off your computer so you get a fresh install.

Put xp install disk in at options screen choose repair windows leave file system as it is will restore to your original file system but leave your other files on the drive after install run your anti virus software to remove any viruses your system should be back to normal you can then put your up dates back on

Re install windows but before you do that and lose every thing try this , install windows xp service pack two. second you have to have one and only one anti virus program two of them will mess up your computer un install one of them ,re start your computer if you still have the problem you have no choice bt formatting the hard drive.

Yes Best way reinstall your windows and your problems are gone forever.Everything in your computer will be fresh no garbaga like virses and spyware its gonna be like having a new computer.But this time protect yourself from those virses and make sure windows stays that way.

YES....reinstalling windows will get you rid of viruses....but you should reinstall internet explorer...or use another browser. and you should also empty space on your harddisk drive C. if you do so you will resolve all this problems.

Yes it will resolve your problems, unless it is a virus stuck on your computer. If it is a virus, you would have to reformat your system to be sure of a clean hard drive.
