19.2 units high.

Assuming that the base of the box is a square, and that the plank is placed diagonal from the bottom front to the top back corner of the box,

Diagonal of the base of the box = SQRT(4^2 + 4^2) = SQRT 32

As the plank is 20 units and it is the diagonal,

Height of box = SQRT (20^2 - 32) = SQRT 368 = 19.2 units
