if u were a kid wen it happened and are now an adult,he could be dying a painful old age...so what?!...well,what if he's an uncle,a part of the family.Believe me,there are families out there who do a better job than the vatican at turning the dying into saints.Wil you be believed or disowned?
Secondly,in a case of marital rape...your husband had sex with you when you clearly did not want this to happen,your psychiatrist,social worker,doctor police can give evidence as to the distressed state of your mind.you don't need to show bruising other than the bruising of emotional trauma to your mind.
thirdly,have extensive counselling,drug therapy,etc. and if YOU decide to prosecute the mfr then you go for it.It;s scary but do-able. Peace,sister. :)

Considering that one of the BIGGEST problems is false rape claims I'm shocked at the number of "rape him, kill him, castrate him" crap that I hear. So everyone is APPALLED at rape, except prison rape where it's fair and just. Of course those that do the attacking are anything but just seekers. So what's just for the women that cries rape and gets an innocent man sent to prison? Acid thrown in her face??

Best revenge is to have him imprisoned to prevent him from repaeting his crime.
