My friend is ending his Netzero account, and wants to grab all his messages before he is no longer able to sign in.
Is there any process available to go in and grab them, tried to use MAIL on his Mac OS X, and was unable to download messages, which we marked as unread so it would appaear as new mail.

I have done that before with Mail. That would be your best bet. Check all your server settings and try it again.

Try using Select All, Copy, and Paste and save as a text file for each file he wants to save?

If can also try pressing Ctrl + C on the keyboard to Copy selected text and press Ctrl + V to paste text.

Otherwise I'd have to say try contacting NetZero support they should be able to walk you through step by step or point you in the right direction to getting the information you need.

Hi,

If your friend cancels the NetZero account then it becomes the free account. Even though he cancels his account he can still login to his account but the paid account (if he had earlier) will be reverted to Free account. However, if he wishes to import all his email messages then he can configure his NetZero account (if it is a paid account only) in any of the offline email programs and download his email messages to it. To configure his paid NetZero account in any of the offline email programs such as Outlook, Outlook Express, etc visit the following link.. http://www.netzero.net/support/email/email-setup.html

Also, note that once he downloads the email messages to the offline email programs then all the email messages that are present in the Inbox and Junk mail folders of the NetZero account will be moved to the offline email programs.
