Abacuss was the instrument to count things. It was an instrument with inbuit wires which contained beads which was used for counting

There was nothing called tally.
Tally is a software in accounting which was made in 1989 under the company peutronics india ltd. which si now tally Solutions.
Now teh latest version of Tally is Tally8.1 which includes accounting inventory and many more things link CST, TDS, VAT, FBT etc. etc
