I got married in Florida last year and before I started shopping for dresses told my husband that I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a wedding dress.
I actually looked at bridesmaid dresses by one company who did them in all different colours and modern styles. I realised that they looked like anyother dress and didn't pull in all your lumps and bumps.
I went to Virgin Brides (great name) in Manchester and hated the shop cause they didn't make you feel special in the slightest, you had a 30 minute slot and she wouldn't let me try a particular dress on cause she thought I couldn't afford it. Silly cow!
Everywhere else I tried were nasty spangly sequin numbers. It seems that some wedding dress shops haven't moved on since the 70's.
I finally found the shop of my dreams called Scarlet Poppy in Pudsey in Leeds. Nearly every single dress in there was amazing.
Anyway, I got the dress of my dreams by Augusta Jones. It cost me £1200 but I convinced m y husband that I would sell it after but it's still in my wardrobe!

Well, if I was a celebrity singer and was married to a famous footballer, I would have my wedding dress custom made by Roberto Cavalli and pay 110.000 quid for it. It was an absolutely beautiful dress afterall...
If you want to buy a dress, I think you would be looking at around 1.200 quid from a wedding dress salon/boutique. Congrats & Good luck in finding the perfect dress!!!

Ive fallen in love with a Vera Wang dress it's £5,300 and there is another one by Chantal mallett (makes stunning, if a bit odd dresses) for roughly £3,500, the Chantal mallett dresses are couture so the price can vary, but personally i think the money is unimportant, my dress could cost £50 and I wouldn't care as long as I felt comfortable in it, and it made me feel like the princess i deserve to be on my wedding day...(gawd im such a girl)
ttfn ;o)

well,if u want to go to the shops like gucci, armani, dior or chanel, then u need to pay at least 2000 quid(I'm not sure that is exactly),but if u really love the man u r married with, hum~it worth.because u want to remember the day in ur entire life.but if u don't want to pay for such a large quantity of money, then 500 quid can buy a high quality wedding dress.if u dong't want to spend a lot of money on that but still want to wear a luxury wedding dress, then rent it,compare with to buy a luxury dress the price of rent is that cheap

not very much because spending a lot of money for a wedding dress is silly to me . I would rather keep the money to help furnish the place i plan to live in, and help buy things needed..

I don't know about the cost until I find the perfect dress that suits and looks stunning on me. But I wouldn't pay anything ridiculous like a 1000 pounds for it.

Your wedding dress is priceless but I personally wouldn't go over £1500, its the one thing you would want to keep for life (except your man!!!)!!

No more than 500 dollars. That's just a waste of money for anything more expensive. For one day.....but knowing that most marriages end in divorce, you can wear it again for your next marriage.

They had some in Debenhams that were around £250 - £400. If you buy off the rack you can get a bargain
