She caught me. I smiled at her and she smiled back. Is this considered rude? What do you think? I was NOT leering.

When I posted this I was interested in the responses. Quite interesting they are too. I was shopping when I saw this woman. I just happened to look up as she passed my aisle. I caught her bosom and have to say I appreciated it, but then looked at her face. We made eye contact (her eyes were blue) and I smiled, she returned my smile and life goes on. I did wonder though what she thought and yes I did look for her as I shopped to see if I could strike up conversation and she apparently had been on her way out. I often wonder how many women take something that truly is innocent as this as a personal insult rather than what it was. She was very stunning and I am sure I will see her again as I live in a relatively small town.

Sounds like you got away with it fine, it is rude, but she will be used to people doing this and at least you did finally make it up to her face to smile. It's human nature to look at things that stand out to us, you weren't staring or leering and she will no doubt have the experience of this to know the difference so I wouldn't worry.
Some women would take it as a great compliment, ie if she had surgically augmented her breasts to be that busty she may crave that kind of attention. I had a friend who had naturally big breasts tho and she used to get genuinely upset that men would ogle her breasts and be less interested in her - she was thinking of getting them reduced in size to stop that happening as she wanted a serious career in law.
I guess what I'm saying is don't forget that your own perception of what a person feels about their body may not be what they are really thinking so hopefully her return smile at you was genuine. And the next time someone is staring at your crotch, will you think you've forgotten to zip up, or......!!!

Hell no. Women have a choice of wearing something that can attract attention. If that attention is to her breast oh well. Maybe if i wore really tight pants i can cause peoples attention to my crotch bulge. Would i be mad. Hell no because it what i intended. And if she thinks its rude then too bad she should have known it would cause attention as soon as she walked outside into public.

Glancing is fine. Leering and drooling is NOT. It sounds like you did the right thing, especially if you made eye contact with her. Hell of a job :-).

No I am sure she is used to it and realizes that men can't help themselves to take a quick glance.
As long as that was all it was...
Now if you do the Chevy Chase thing from Christmas Vacation that is a different story...

It's natural for men to look. However, some women would be offended by that behavior. Just be careful how you look in the future.

I don't' think it's rude to glance, but if you had been staring, then it would have been rude.
Sounds like she appreciated the attention though, if she smiled back and made eye contact!

hey, you're a guy...you cant help yourself :P as long as you weren't leering and being perverse then dont worry...im sure she's used to it, and yeah you got busted but im sure you were more embarrassed than she was. Yes its rude to check out a woman's chest, but like i said...it's in your genes ;)

Probably not rude, a little crude perhaps. I seriously doubt it was the first time she experienced someonr admiring her figure.

lol. It is considered rude- but she probably took it as a compliment. I mean, it's ok if you weren't staring. she probably thought that you were just looking round, and you were at that moment, looking at her breasts.

nah. you were admiring her luscious boobies. she may take it as a compliment. if she wasn't looking to get noticed, she'd be wearing a turtleneck. of course, i'm assuming that you didn't bury your face in her chest. that would be a little creepy with a stranger. try it with a friend first.
