I'd say that Maddux is the only shoo-in among them.
Smoltz and Glavine should eventually make it (Smoltz's being both a closer and starter may hurt his chances a bit, we'll see how many more closers get in before he's up. If Goose Gossage goes, I'd say he's got a very good chance.)
If Glavine ever gets to 300 Wins, he's in.
Millwood will be remembered as a good player, but not an HOF'er.

baseballjon48, youre so dumb. How can you say Maddux may not make it? If anything, the only ones on there that may not make it are Smoltz and Glavine. They have great chances, but Maddux is without a doubt a Hall of Famer. Millwood probably wont get in. He was good, but not nearly as good as Maddux, Smoltz and Glavine. You are also forgetting about Roger Clemens (for sure going to make it) and Curt Schilling.

I think that Maddux is a no-brainer. He's got over 300 wins, and won 4 Cy Young awards. Both Smoltz and Glavine have an outside shot. If Glavine sticks around enough to win 300, he will probably make it after a few years of waiting. Smoltz is a long shot, and Millwood, he won't.

Maddux, without a doubt. Glavine and Smoltz I would vote for. Millwood is not in the same class with the other three.

Millwood won't, the other three will for sure. Maddux already has 300 wins, Glavine should get it next year and Smoltz has been dominant as a starter AND closer his whole career.

Tom Glavine has almost 300 wins. Smoltz has had a wonderful career starting and as a closer. Millwood is the one that is the question

glavin will make it in on the first ballotif he doesnt try to hang out to long. maddux is the greatest pitcher of the era. millwood has only had 9 full years but had 107 wins and only 75 losses his chances look ok if he has a long career. and smoltz it will be close but i will say yes.

John Smoltz (Yes):
-150 wins
-150 saves
-World Series ring
-Holds the ML record in NL for saves in a season (55)

Greg Maddux (Yes):
-300 wins
-3,000 strikeouts (Pretty amazing with only 2 200+ strikeout seasons)
-Won 4 straight Cy Young awards (Tied for ML record)
-Is 40 and pitches still have nasty movement.

Tom Glavine (No):
-Under 300 wins
-Only one 20-win season
-Has slowed down a bit in the last couple of years (ERA, wins, K)

Kevin Millwood (No):
-Has a no-hitter, but thats about it
-Doesn't have a 20 win or a 200 strikeout season
-Did lead the league in ERA last year, but went 9-11.

The only one who really stands a chance of making it to Cooperstown, is John Smoltz. Maddux, is sitting on the fence, unknown which way he will fall.
