i have a constant power wire(yellow), a thermostat control(green), a black ground(obvious), and an "on" position wire(black/red). its on a radiator fan and i need to hook it up to a toggle switch. which wires go to the battery and which go to toggle switch? HELP!

with your toggle swtitch in the off position the top is the power that will go to a fuse or the battery the middle is ACC that will go to the fan and then your gronud i dont understand why a 30 year auto tech would tell you to pull it all out of the car you if you are going to use a toggle switch the thermostat wont do you any good just wire direct to fan if you e-mail me i will give you a better and easier way to hook this up

Or think of the circuit "load"fan two wires one to the thermoswitch one to "Power" battery fused. switch in car hot to the light the switch and "ground" and switched ground green to the other side of the thermo switch. Or put it all on the bench and make it run heat up the thermo bulb with a lighter then draw a simple diagram and reinstall it into the car
