I've been with my fiance for almost 9 years. I still love him, but he's never home. He'd rather be with his friends out drinking. We have 3 kids. I've been thinking about my first love alot. I know where he lives and that I can easily contact him. Question is should take a chance at doing so?

Yes, do it. If u know how to contact him, u should not hesitate. Life is too short. Live it now.
Good luck:)

You should NOT contact him until you get your own situation straightened out. It sounds like you wouldn't even bother about it if your fiance was home more often. That would be contacting the first love for the wrong reasons.

Once you know what your future holds and are happy with it, go ahead and contact him. Don't be surprised if he is married with 3 kids and content with his life. DO NOT try to break up his marriage (if he is married). Just keep the contact light. Tell him that something made you remember him and you decided to check to see how he is doing. That is enough.

I don't think that you should take a chance at contacting your first love. I think that before you contact your first love, you should focus on your relationship with your husband/fiance. You can't fix what is wrong with your marriage/relationship by seeking people outside of your marriage/relationship. I believe in the union of marriage/commitment to someone and that you should do everything that you can to repair what is broken, do whatever you can, discuss your concerns, seek counselling and if after you feel that you have done everything that you can do to salvage your marriage/relationship, then you should seek a separation or divorce. Then and only then should you contact your first love but not before. Take it one step at a time. Who knows maybe your first love is happily married, in a relationship or not interested.
