I'm looking for an IDE that's easy to use and fast when developing DHTMLs and CSSs. Which one is better and why? Please don't tell me to use notepad or emacs. Detailed answers please.

If you need it fast, you hire yourself an HTML wiz, and then buy them the tools *they* are fastest with.

If you're doing it yourself, use the tool *you* are the fastest with.

In general, the tool won't *really* matter, because the vast majority of time will be soaked up with non-tool issues - people proofreading the page, signing off on the content, layout design questions, and so on....

Dreamweaver is the best for me. You can make a great web page with out any skill at all. Everything is so easy to use on it and it is very fast to add and take away objects. What I also love about it is you can switch from GUI to code to make it even more custom. I would chose Dreamweaver first out of any other. Just get the latest version. lol

Dreamweaver. Visual Studio is not really for that sort of thing, and MS FrontPage will give you consistently awful, crappy, non-standards-supported code. But Dreamweaver (version 8 is the best, but I use MX which is version 6 a lot) does what you want very well.

the latest version of Dreamweaver even fills in code as you type. for instance, it will end for you as you close that string.

Just adding to above posts. dreamweaver is my choice too.
