"Under Milk Wood - a play for voices by Dylan Thomas" First performed by Dylan Thomas in the Fogg Museum at Harvard on May 3, 1953. It was published in 1954 after his death.

Not sure but it sounds like Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad (it inspired Apocalypse Now). It also sounds like it might be by Edgar Allen Poe.
