When I check my C Drive I notice that, It shows at the bottom, with no (check) On it, (Compress drive to save disk) And below with a check on it, It says (Allow Indexing Sevice to index this disk for fast file searching) Is this right if I want to make space on my computer ?

compresing drive is used to gain disk space but it makes bringing up programs slower you only compress c drive if you are running out of disk space.you can do that but it will make it slower

In general - delete old files and programs [Control Panel, add/delete programs] that you no longer need.
If XP - get rid of old "restore points".

Then empty the recycle bin, then defrag the drive.

As another stated - don't compress ALL of the C: drive, but you can compress some folders - check the HELP section for suggestions of file 'types' to compress.

If you want to gain some space on yoru drive quick & easy just right click on the RECYCLE BIN and set the percentage to 1% instead of the default 10%.

ie: 10% of a 100gb drive is 10gb! Basicly wasted for the Recycle Bin!!!!

You'll have to restart for the newly gained space to show up.

I clean up my old, & empty files everyday with CCleaner and it's free, works great also check if you download music make sure you don't pick up album art, takes up alot of space and slows you down...Pic's, take up alot of space and clean up your bookmarks...songs you don't like or listen to much delete...then always defrag and reboot... you will be surprised how much space and speed you'll gain...
