I'll think it'll barely pass it and hit elsewhere. NO has enough trouble on their hands from last year's trifecta of hurricanes, and just by rebuilding their town again. Don't forget about Mississippi and Alabama too.

I predict there will be a situation of media hype with copious amounts of drivel of little use to the people. There will be a fanning of the public's fears by "experts" who will keep spinning up the "numbers" (wind speed, strength and.....this one is going to be so easy...the storm surge levels) that huge numbers of people will clog the evacuation routes from Florida to Texas. There will be a run on the gas stations with people buying gas in 3 gallon containers because of the gas lines of Katrina. There will be a drop in the stock market due to the concerns of the storm disrupting the drilling platforms in the gulf. And the television media will staff this one with triple the levels of the Katrina story because they got burned by the competition last year. They will keep beating the drum "only a year ago............Katrina.....did.........what ever you want to fill in. And now the survivors fear another blow from a hurricane will destroy what they have rebuilt." There will be the story about "I stay for Katrina but I've learned my lesson and I'm going north." And the story,"I stayed for Katrina and I'll stay through this one. I'm not going any where." Then there will be the endless stories on how we are better prepared for this one...."Lesson Learned from Katrina".....and the ones about how people will deal with taking their pets.
These are my predictions.

It might. I live in miami so i think we will defintely feel something here. By the looks of it i think it will turn upwards to the panhandle and near pensacola or mississippi. Itll just be alot of rain and hope we dont lose power or disrupt business down here....but its a part of living here.

Personally, I think that if it does hit the U.S., it will skirt along the eastern coast of Florida. That is one of the computer-analyzed predictions, although not the one giving the best odds of being correct.
