It is possible to use a liquid szintillation counter for to count alphas in air or nitrogene (N-luminescence). If my LSC 's software doesn't provide a protocol for this, can I use the one for cerenkov-counting?
Anyone done this before ?

Don't know all the answer, but if u bombard nitrogen with alpha particles it will no longer be nitrogen it will trans-mutate to oxygen.
