Let me start by saying that acne is extremely common, affecting
85% of teenagers.
Here are the best ways to prevent acne:
Gently wash your face with an antibacterial soap (like Dial or Lever 2000) in the morning and before you go to bed.
Do not scrub your face. Use only your fingertips when washing.
Make sure your make-up and lotions say “oil-free” or “non-comedogenic.” (Non-comedogenic means “will not cause acne.”)
Keep hair products, like gel and mousse, off your face. Also, clip or tie back long hair to keep it off your face.
Do not touch your face. Oil from your hands can block pores, making acne worse.
Do not pick your acne or permanent scars may form.
Remove sport helmets and sweaty head bands as soon as you are done with them and be sure to wash them often.
Even if you follow all of these tips, you may still get acne. Most teens need some form of acne cream or medicine to improve their skin. Many creams are available over the counter. But, if these don’t help and your acne bothers you, see your doctor to get started on the best treatment for you. Good luck. And you can also get on medical treatments like pro-active if it gets very bad.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is: http://www.acne-treatment-medicine-1.info/

I use Oxy Extra Strength Acne Face Wash. It has Benzoyl Peroxide in it and prevents me from breaking out. I've used it faithfully for like 4 years now and it doesn't let me down! Whenever I do get a few uncommon little bastards (zits) I treat them with the Oxy spot treatment. It takes care of them right away, (within a day or two). I've tried many other face washes and none of them work for me! I've tried EVERYTHING. This is the only thing I can give credit to for my clear skin. Try it and see how good it is!

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Clearisil ultra is a good medicine but a lot of over the counter stuff works just as well, at least for me.
Wash your face twice a day. I use clean and clear and the apricot scrub twice a day.

I used Accutane, It got rid of the major acne but it fudged me up pretty bad. It's been 4 years since I used it and I still have a nose bleed about once every two weeks, and thats after having my nose carterized a year ago. I still have pimples pimples every once in a while as well. While your on it, your face is completely dried up, lips chap horribly, and at the height of my Accutane experience I was having up to 5 nosebleeds a day. Also, It made me depressed, moody and at times suicidal. This is all on the warning label as well. Luckily I never got the whole rectal bleeding bit, but it was still a horrible experience. Think twice about using extreme medicine like Accutane.

. It is either hereditary or you don't eat proper healthy foods much.you can only help keep it in control.
drink water and eat good foods, don't use oily face conditioner or lotions . there is a product out( i forgot the name) for acne..try a Drug store.it is said to be really good. sometimes lemon juice dries acne . don't go all out and buy a lot of stuff try only a few and if it keeps on then see a DR, or skin specialist.

Try proactive..it helps really...they even have tips booklet on how to prevent acne.
Acne can't be cured, with or without a prescription. Even after blemishes disappear, you must continue to use an effective acne treatment to keep new blemishes from forming.
