Had to replace some existing pine decking due to burns in original boards.
How do I make new deck boards look not so new?
AS we are selling house and don't want potential buyers get the wrong idea. As deck is fine just burnt from small candle.

Pressure wash the deck boards. It won't age the new board but it will clean up the old ones. Pine is a softer wood so be careful not to put the nozzle to close or in one spot to long. If your selling the house, I would think you would want to clean up the way the deck looks anyway. Or you could stain/paint it.

How about borrow or rent a strong pressure washer. The OLD boards will look new again. It works wonders!! But you need to test the pressure before you actually "wash" the deck so as not to be too strong or it will damage the boards.

You are probably more worried than they would be. Most people are not real concerned about things like that. Do the best you can and call it good. Have you talked to a lumber co.? Will the new boards make more of a problem than just leaving it be.?

clean old decking and get some water sealer with a bit of stain in it and do the whole thing, it'll look great

I don't think you can. The sun has sucked all the oils out of the old wood. Just paint it all red or brown and call it a day. =P

try a mixture of salt water and bleach 1/2 cup salt 1cup bleach to a gallon water. put it on in the morning when its going to be hot and sunny , hose it off at the end of the day
