Is it because they actually think that he's a bad wrestler? But then they cheer Cena? Can somebody explain that to me?

well for starters...edge has more experience than cena..i mean look at cena he only has 3 moves and he's a rock wannabe!! the reason why fans don't like edge because he's a ignorant SOB bragging about his title!

Edge is not a bad wrestler. Edge is a much better wrestler than Cena. The reason that Edge is booed is because he is an heel; He is suppose to find away to win matches. Other than that, I do not know. Cena is a face and he most of the time he gets booed by the fans.

Quite simple. It's because Edge plays a heel wrestler and it's natural that he's being booed because he's simply the bad guy in the feud, while Cena is the exact opposite. However, because there are a number of fans who really hate Cena, Edge serves as a counter-measure to assure Cena has a following before another wrestler is given a push to being a good main eventer. In addition, there isn't any face wrestler who's good enough to replace Cena at the moment (DX will still continue to feud with the McMahons). So until then, expect the Cena/Edge feud to continue until Unforgiven.

Actually the people that boo Edge and cheer for Cena are the last few Chain gang members

because he is the heel right now, which means that he is the bad guy.
cena is the good guy right now, so they cheer cena and boo edge.
personally i always liked edge until the cena deal. but i dont think that he is an exceptionally good wrestler. his spear is the spear that goldberg used years ago. its nothing new. its actually from football.
he has no moves of his own that hasnt already been used before.

Edge gets cheers, Cena gets boos. Vice-versa.
Whats the deal? The boos are not heard on TV as much unless the croud is rabid with boo'ing him out. Otherwise Vince has a "cheer track" he plays when a face comes out and still gets the boos.

Edge got "The Spot" at wrestle mania, he showed the ppl who rule the business that he is worth it !... as a performer in the ring, edge is one of the best right now... he is the best cheaters since the old good days of Ric Flair !... a day will come when Edge will be a face... and I m sure he will not get the attention he has right now... some ppl are just better off as heels...

Edge controls the reaction of the crowd, they boo him because he makes them. Now unlike John Cena (Who is a face and still gets booed) he was actually a powerful face back when he had the Rob Zombie entrance!
