Something casual that you like to wear - you should feel comfortable, and not be fussing or adjusting your outfit all day.
My suggestion: jeans & a favorite shirt

Hi!!!! I just started 10th grade about 2 weeks ago ( August 15th)!! I would say to go with a casual outfit of your usual style. You don't want to go TOO over the top, or people will think it's strange you dressed so nicely for the first day, but then just went to a casual style the rest of the time. I just went really casual with an A & F Demin mini, A & F beaded henely with a cute little A & F sweater over, with my Marc Jacobs Pumps!!! So, just go with something you will feel comftorable in, yet still have lots of style!! Hope I've helped, and HAVE FUN your first day!!

I would have to suggest this:
Skinny or straight jeans (if you can) . Or, just nice fitted jeans.
For a more "feminine touch", try a mid-length skirt. And if it's cold where you are, mesh-made tights (of whichever color matches with the rest of your outfit, of course).
For the top, try a nice top with a cute zipped vest. Or, for cooler weather, a v-neck sweater (not too low), turtleneck sweater or if it's really cool, a wool/knitted sweater.
For shoes, boots or regular sports shoes with the jeans and ballet flats or again, regular sports shoes with a skirt of your choice (not too high).
For accessories, a or several cool bracelets, a long (thick or thin) scarf.

And finally, the reasons I suggest these are because they're modest and not too much for schoo; sweet, comfortable, simple yet still with a touch of "chic". You don't want to be looking like you're ready for the Emmy Awards when you're going for a place to work, do you?

A pair of jeans, maybe even try out the skinny jeans if you like that trend, but jeans are a classic for school. For the top try a cute cami or t-shirt worn under a cute jacket, if it's not too hot where you live. You'll look cute and contemporary without fitting into any specific stereotype. For the shoes , depending on the length of your jeans, wear a pair of cute, but comfy heels or a pair of ballerina flats. Add some cute and contemporary jewelry and you'll look absolutely adorable.

On the first day of the 10th grade you wanna look hot so you should wear something simple,but cute!I'd wear my hair in the ponytail that my avatar has!Then I'd wear a cute sphaggeti strapped cami,with some cute fitted capri's,and some cute strappy heels!Then I'd finish the look off with a lace belt!For makeup some hot pink juicy gloss,with a coacoa brown eye shadow!

Wear Jeans and a t-shirt with a funny saying on it. So that if there are new people it will give them a chance to comment your shirt and start a conversation.

well i just started 9 th grade a little less than 2 weeks ago and i wore a mini skirt and a tank top u should too if its warm wera u live
