How old is too old to own a furby and love it?

Age shouldn't be a deciding factor in things that make you happy. As long as whatever you engage in is not a danger to you or yourself, you should be free to enjoy life in any way you please.

If a guy at age 40 likes to play with Legos, some would consider that as a supposed mark of immaturity or the inability to wean himself from children's toys. They'd then jump to the conclusion that he must be mentally unstable or dysfunctional.

If you took Legos and introduced them in the 1800s, it would be something new for peopel of that era. They'd be sitting around examining Legos, studying the materials, looking at the shape, and playing with them for days or even weeks.

I happen to enjoy playing chess. You wouldn't see people laughing or calling that immature because Chess is considered to be game that strengthens your Logic Skills and has redeeming educational qualities.

Other toys get discriminated against when it comes to their educational value because a lot of people fail to see the other applications or how it could be useful in another manner aside from its intended design.

Some of the most brilliant geniuses and scientists have been known to think out of the box and find different ways of using common objects that people are only able to see used in the way they were taught.

When it comes to interpretation, most people are taught one way and they follow what they were taught. They stick with the original interpretation.

When it comes to Psychology and the development of cultures, all it takes is the majority of people to agree upon a symbol and its applications to give it value.

For example, if the U.S. Government made it Law where you have to have a Furby on the dashboard of your car at each check point before you cross into any other state, that Furby suddenly has new value or meaning. People wouldn't be laughing or thinking that an individual of a certain adult age with a Furby would be weird or immature.

If you chose to start your own Furby Organization where you had 5 million members and the requirement was that people carry a Furby with them to gain entrance to a Furby Seminar, society will acknowledge your Furby Organization and take it seriously.

That's Psychology for you. People who frown upon you about your age and make you feel like you should be on the defensive to justify your actions don't always understand these concepts. So don't worry about it.

In fact, if your Furby makes you happy, that's actually a good thing. Do you know how many socially dysfunctional people don't have any Furby-Like symbols or icons that give them happiness?

There are people in Mental Institutions as well as prisoners that were convicted of Rape, Homocide, and Theft rotting in jail cells. As hard as it may be to believe, if all those people had a Furby to play with that granted them happiness and made them feel good about themselves, their thoughts wouldn't focus on violence and crime because they'd be happy.

It's people who condemn Furby peope like you relegating you to have nothing to play or engage in activities that make you happy that leads to a violence, crime, and human misery in Society.

There are people who work at crappy jobs day after day that have nothing to look forward to. If they had a Furby that granted them the joy and pleasure yours gives you, it would be therapeutic.

People are appalled at how Postal Workers can go Psycho, bring a gun to work, and start killing people. If those Postal Workers had a Furby or some toy that gives them consolation, happiness, and cheer the same way yours does, it could save lives and avoid terrible accidents.

That's the value of a Furby and toys. So you go ahead and play with your Furby.
