This is not a time to get full value for Portis ...who if he is healthy is a top five runner.'
He has an injury that is hard to predict so you probably aren't goijng to get what you need for him....He is worth a top runner or a top receiver...top five only.....Barber, johnson, tomlinson,
Owens, holt, harrison
Don't trade a top player like portis for several lesser players...you just weaken your position

With Portis hurt, you probably won't be able to muster more than a #1 WR like Owens or Moss. Better receivers like Holt and Harrison are probably too rich until he gets back from injury.

I would hold on to him for now. You will not get fair market value right now. Wait until he starts playing and then you may be able to get a James, Brown or Jackson type.
