The only ways to reduce pimples:
1. Forget about the pimples that u have,n dont see mirror n think about ur face
2. Wash your face with normal water(use cool water if possible) thrice in a day
3. Dont use any creams or special soaps
4. Eat Carrots n Leafy Vegetables
5. Drink Water 6litres a day
Now u'll get no pimples, n ur pimples existing will go
This really worked for many.
Bye
All the best

Honestly my doctor told me to use Dove everyday. Plus he gave me a prescription and it works well. I don't have to use it everyday just when I notice it is starting to break out and then I use if for a couple days and they are gone. My face is so much better now I am no longer embarrassed but I still use the Dove pads every night and I feel so much better. My Doctor said that all the over the counter ingredients are the same even Proactiv. So they pretty much work the same. My daughter even tried the prescription for three days and her face was tremendously better.
Good Luck it can be really hard dealing with pimples.

I've got them too, so I feel your pain. For continual treatment, I got a prescription from my doctor for Benza-Clin topical gel [clindamycin-benzoyl peroxide gel] and it works wonders when applied as recommended, typically at nighttime before you to go bed.
For one-spot treatment, I found that toothpaste works very well, but avoid using it around your eyes because it can sting your eyes, and that's also where the skin is the most sensitive.
I also found out a little trick for when you have redness that needs to be gone immediately... take a cotton ball and squirt some Visine on it and hold it against the pimple for a minute or so, and voila! The redness goes away... just as it works on eyes.
If you wear makeup, wear non-oily and dermatologist tested to avoid clogging your pores. One more tip.. stay away from starch. I noticed that after cutting back my use of white bread, rolls, and bagels, my acne was drastically reduced. Wheat is better for you, anyway, so you'll be doing both your body and your face a favor. =]
And as always, wash your face regularly, but don't scrub! This can make your skin irritate.
Good luck!

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, "Baby Magic's Calming bath is good" . 2x a day, especially at night.
Get spot a paste toothpaste on the more aggravating breakouts.
Steam your face with the toothpaste on it, and or sleep with this on your face.
In the morning, wash and very lightly moisturize (Mix a few drops of water in, wipe on, blot off with tissue).
The toothpaste can be drying. start with the more severe breakouts. Try this daily till they've significantly reduced.
Buy an Astringent and a small (travel sized)spray bottle. Use the spray bottle to mist the astringent on your face throughout the day.
Give yourself a week to see improvement.

I can sympathize w/ you. Been there, done that, somewhat still doing it. But I got it under control now...i just get maybe 1 or 2 in a blue moon. If you have tried everything, just dont stress, exercise, stay away from greasy, oily, fried foods, eat more fruits and veggies. Also, try Velocity from Mary Kay, that has been working for me, as well as getting facials here and there. You don't need to go to an expensive place to get your facial done, but any place that is licensed is good enough and also they clean the insides of your skin (pores come out cleaner). I recommend it.

Food does not alter your skin.
Wash your face every morning and night, I usually wash my face with a bar of facial soap when I'm in the shower, then get out and use a 3 step face wash. (face soap, a toner, then moisturizer) I use almay at the moment and it really works for me. And at night before I go to bed, because I'm lazy, I run over my face with a facial pad.
And if you're a female, going on birth control helps A LOT. It definitley did for me! I look at pics of me before I started on it, and cant believe how much my skin has changed.

This was exactly my problem, but it isn't so much anymore. The doctor gave me this Duac Topical Gel thingy, or at least I think that's what it is. Ask your doctor....
Also, other than using that once in awhile, I clean my face with this Clearasile thing sometimes, too. Just don't use them too often, or else your face gets wayyy too dry.
