Slacks, but no jeans. Comfortable tops, but no tees. No suits. Think about a dinner with your parents or grandparents and how you might dress. No sneakers or other sporty shoes. Since I'm not sure what gender you are, I'll post styles for both.

Men:
Dockers and khaki pants are a safe bet. They shouldn't be full dress pants. Button front shirts and polos are safe. Ties are too much, leave them at home. Have a nice belt since you should be tucking in your shirt. Try some lace up brown or black shoes in a flat leather, not patent. Maybe throw on a jacket or blazer for the first day or so just to check out what everybody else is wearing. It's better to go to business than too casual until you know for sure.

Women:
Whether it's a skirt, dress, or pants, they should be comfortable and at least above the knee in length. Pair the bottoms up with a nice shirt or blouse. Wrap tops are a great look right now. The look should be tailored, not tight. Low to medium heels at most. I'd stay away from sandals at first, until you are sure about the dress.

Try this for some ideas about what is considered appropriate.

Business Casual mean no jeans what so ever(unless it is dress down day). But at the same time that means you can wear dress pants, button down shirts, skirts but be careful of the lenght (some people think any kind of skirt will do but that is not true),and i saw that somebody said wait until you get at the job and see what other people wear don't do that at all reason being is that the other people at your job has been there longer than you have and they also have more pull then you, so they can get away with more than you can.. Good luck and Congrats on the new job everything will be okay.....

If you're a guy, that usually means a collared shirt (tie not required) and dress pants like dockers.
If you're a girl, that usually means dresses with pantyhose, or dress pants and collared shirt or nice knit top (no denim).

Well, guys: Polo shirts, khakis, button up shirts with no tie, nice pants.

Ladies: Low heels, polo shirts, khakis, a nice, but not fussy blouse, flats

BUT NO: jeans, tshirts, open toed shoes, anything with logos, hats (other than religious in nature), shorts, sleeveless shirts.

Basically, anything that looks professional, but is comfortable.

That means that you don't need to wear full suits and blazers. Just nice slacks or a skirt and a button down shirt or blouse.

This would mean no jeans. Clothes like dress pants/shirts, skirts, ties....just wait until you start. You can then observe and see what you can get away with.
