Darlin, where I live a redneck is STILL cool. To me it opitimizes all the basic and good qualities of the American people. The folks who understand that working hard for the things you have gives them more value; the folks who realize that, good or bad, there are just some things that have to be done and that it may as well be you.

I was raised on a ranch in Idaho and never heard of a redneck until I came to Ga. Down here, the redneck does not refer to the hard workin' man, but the lazy, no counts that live on welfare and have at least 8 cars in their yard of which only 2 might run, and dogs, yep, the more dogs you have living under your porch the higher your status symbol!!! Oh yeah, lets not forget about the chil'lens. Got to have a bunch of them too that may or may not have enough to eat, but that don't matter, 'cause there is always road kill to supplement the food stamps. Yes there are those that work and make good money, but most of them are working at a job that does not require any physical actuivity. They are the ones that have the Hummer and Escalade parked outside their Doublewide. I am not inferring that you are a redneck. You are just an American that has all his morals and values in the right place. Thank You and stay proud!!!
