My car uses 5 W 20 and I bought what I thought was two bottles. Turns out one of the bottles was 10 W 30, and I didn't realize it until after I poured it in. Will anything happen to my car? (Honda Accord 04)

nothing tragic. However, change it before the weather get cold so that the oil will flow better in the cold.

you will be fine you dont need to change the oil it wont hurt anything it is just a little thicker oil it will mix with the other oil and thin out anyway this is a better oil to be running any way it will help the motor run cooler by not working as hard and the guy from jiffy lube if he only put 3 1/2 quarts in a car like that he cheated them out of 1 1/2 quarts your car will take between 4 to 5 quarts

first of all was your car down two quarts of oil? shame on you! your car takes about three and half quarts at an oil change and dont tell the dealership if its still under warr..they arent your friends get an oil change done and chance of any thing happening bad with 30 compare to 20 if slim. but letting your car get two quarts low is a real problem. the reason for 5w20 compared to 5w30 for gas milage. just get an oil change as soon you can..later..

Nothing really bad. Your car may be a horsepower or two down and get fractionally worse gas mileage until you change the oil with the correct weight, but that's about it.

it wont be to bad but i would change the oil after that. it will cause more frction maybe and you have two types of oil so it may not have the same friction resistance that it had before.

It doesn't make any difference in the short run. Don't worry about it.
