best not to trust right away. i completely know what you're saying and agree...
men do this mainly, but i've met a few girls that i helped and gave a lot of my time to and it's taken advantage of. *sigh* if you need someone to talk to, i'm available. 360, IM or email. whatever works for ya. i think i might know who did it, b/c he did it to me too. *hug* hang in there honey.
take care and God bless.

This is hard to answer with a simple "yes" or "no".
Yes, I am still surprised when it happens. I am a little too old to have to deal with games again. I am very trusting and try to tell the truth. I make the mistake of believing people when they tell me things. I have been hurt countless times because of this terrible habit of mine.
No, I am not always surprised. For some reason people think that by deceiving and hurting others they will feel more superior or something. You must constantly guard your feelings so no one can get to them and hurt you.

I toy with peoples' emotions because they toy with mine. And I just wanted to mention that I was not the one that started it. People are inherently good and don't want to hurt you. In most cases someone will hurt you because someone else totally unrelated to you hurt that person. So, I guess people hurt you because other people hurt them. If you make yourself vulnerable, most people won't hesitate to hurt you. It's sad I know, but life goes on. Just do what I do and stay single forever and ever. You can toy with as many peoples' emotions as you want and still be chaste. It's like being a virgin all over again.

Yes, I've been surprised. I've made the mistake of dating people who like to play and manipulate people because "they could." They usally don't have any feeling asscociated with the playing, they just do it for amusement. I think its a symptom of some maor personailty disorders.
I've been burned a few times now and I learned from each. Now when I meet new people I can see "red flags" pop up and I know from expirence that I don't want them in my life, so I cut my losses then

Nope, I stopped being surprised a long time ago. I wouldn't exactly consider myself naive but as soon as a tear is shed I can't help but help. Once most people don't need my help anymore I set out with yesturday's trash. Unfortunately it's one of those things that just happen.
