Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Choose Content and then Auto Complete. Then click Clear Forms. This will erase your search history.

Right click on them. They will be highlighted. Hit the return button and voila, they are gone. If you want to remove 'favorites' from that bar, right click and hit delete and then yes. Simple, but I had to be taught this and I'm sharing the info with you.
