I think fish bowls are cruel for any type of fish. I would never put a fish in one, but recently I bought two very beautiful goldfish bowls that I want to use in my home.

I have thought of a few things, but I would love to hear your suggestions!!!

LOL! You nut head. I am not putting fish in it and I already said that. And it is mean. How would you like it?

Anyway, well hon, I LOVE plants! I am going back to school to study horticulture. I was thinking along the lines of maybe putting some houseplants in there, or maybe a terranium with SMALL plants, but I dont know what to use? I dont really like cacti. My home is all tropical. Maybe some sort of tropical looking houseplant?

What plants could I use as if I wanted to make a terranium? I really dont have a clue.

We live in Northern New England, so we placed milkweed in our fish bowl with some Monarch catapillers. They have now started the process of turning into butterflies and we are able to watch the entire process through the sides of the bowl.

if you live near a beach you could pick up stones and shells that would look very nice, start a terrarium, they sell colored glass marbles and round balls in beautiful colors, silk flowers look very nice. If you know how to do sand art or the cheaper way is fill the bowl half way with salt, get colored chalks and rub them on paper on their sides so that they make a fine powder, put them in the salt and take something pointed like a pencil or knife and make designs. It usually comes out looking very pretty...good luck

You could put glass beads, rocks, sand, or whatever you like that matches your decor in the bottom and then a nice pillar candle on top. You could even decorate the outside of the bowl with ribbon or beads, unless it is that pretty that it doesn't need it. Good luck.
