Nope! In time however journalism could be computerized, when the governments have cameras on virtually every location and every individual has the opportunity to tune in where and when they want. Brave New World could serve as a sort of guidebook.
So really, would objectivity make anyone happy? Is objectivity a bunch of static facts in a dynamic event? None of that really, I'm pretty pleased if we maintain a standard that has room for error i.e bias. Perfection is nice for automated processes.

I don't think so. On both sides, I believe just the choice of words can indicate bias, and it is done on a regular basis. I think they can do better than they have done in recent years, but for the most part, they are not inclined to do so anymore.

Yes people do fail..but not all the time, so it is possible to be objective. Too bad that is not hardly ever the case anymore, good honest journalists are far and few between, most say whatever the 'establishment' tells them too.

Since it is one of the most important standards of reporting , yes , I believe it is , and has been possible . It's only human to interject one's own views now and then . That said -if you can not be objective , you should at least be fair .

Absolutely. We are trained to do it and most reporters stick to the facts, or at the very least present both sides of the story. However a growing minority of tv "personalities" seem more intent on shaping and/or inflaming public opinion rather than on just reporting it.
