I have been trying for a while with my husband, my ovulation date was aug 10 i missed my period on aug 24th and still have not got it. I am 17 days past ovulation ,went to the doctors and was told to come back on aug 30th for the test. I am very excited about the fact that i could be pregnant but i dont really think i have any symptoms which worrys me. I have lower back pain, cramping all over my belly, i am hungry but cant eat large portions ,a little extra gas, nausea comes and goes but only for a few min through out the day. I am just worried that i dont have breast tenderness and my areolas havent darkened i havent thrown up or anything, and im not peeing every 10 min. Do you think i could be pregnant with these symptoms???

I would think it is a little early for the pregnancy symptoms you listed to be present. Sorry, but there is nothing you can do, but wait until you see the doctor on the 30th.

Whoa! Some of these symptoms, like frequent peeing, breast tenderness and darkened aureoles, usually occur later in the game. Some women do get nauseous, but not all women do, and not all women do the first day they are pregnant. Sure, you could be pregnant, but just because you are not having every symptom in the book doesn't mean you aren't. Also, you are only a few day late with your period, and it sounds like you're having PMS cramps, so don't get your hopes up too high too soon. You may very well be pregnant, but even if you aren't, you will eventually. Don't stress out about it, it will happen.

Everyone has different symptoms....and your breast don't have to be tender.....why don't you do an "at home" test and put your mind at ease. Some of the symptoms you are describing....like darkening of the areola, don't happen when you first become pregnant....and also the peeing every 10 minutes. That usually happens during the later part of the first and second trimester.....do the test!

Hi i fell pregnant last april and i knew nothing of it, i knew my period was late but i wasnt regular anyway, but i didnt suffer from any symptoms not till i was about 5 month then i got sickness and gastrius but up till then there was nothing. You should get a test the first response ones are crap i used them and i thought i wasnt pg till the morning when i saw the test and there was a faint dot on it. so i used the clear blue which are easiest to use. Fingers crossed for you as motherhood is the greatest thing in the world. Thats coming from a woman that never wanted children till now of course now i want more.
Check www.babycentre.co.uk they have lots of tips and u can talk to people in the same situation as yourself.

If your period is regular, you could be, but it is too early and it sounds like you are having a 'phantom' pregnancy, where you are just so excited you may 'think' you are experiencing what you really are not. Believe me, when you have morning sickness, you will know!!! Darkening nipples is always a pretty good clue.

It's very likely that you are. Not all women experience all symptoms, and it would be too early to have most of them. My cousin had a baby recently, and she never felt sick or vomited, she was just tired all the time.
If you are not pregnant, do not lose faith, and just try again (it's fun ;-) )
Good luck

you are so early in pregnancy a lack of symptoms doesn't mean anything. the doctor should have a very sensitive pregnancy test that would detect pregnancy as early as 1 day after implantation.

Try a home pregnancy test
You are either pregnant, or having a late period.

Did you take one of those tests you buy at the drugstore? Some of them are quite accurate such as First Response.
