many. Whenever there is a death in the family, or someone close to me has died, I plant a tree in rememberance of them, and whenever there is a birth, I plant a tree and name it. It's just something I've been doing most of my life. We live on 6 acres outside of town that has been in my family for 20 years, and I have a tree for every birth and death. It just makes the place feel more like home, to know something related to these people is near me. May sound creepy to some people, but it's a comfort to me.

I'm not sure but I was once a tree planter for 7 hours. I was hired as part of a crew to replant areas that had been clear-cut for the harvesting of trees. Where I live, tree harvesting for wood and pulp is a big industry and the land has to be replanted for future harvestings. I only lasted 7 hours because I sprained my ankle so badly...you had to pack the dirt in around the saplings with your feet. The terrain was also rough and I was exhausted. I got fired and cried all the way home...but I had to crawl around the house for two days from my injuries.

Close to 200 maybe a little more, I take a high interest in environmental issues. No, I'm not involved in any way with an environmental group or arbor foundation, simply I've helped people plant trees like my parents, friends, and around my house.

About 1,000 or so Douglas Fir over a two-week period. My father had some land in the Sierra Nevada Range and I had a school science project; so we decided to try and see if they would grow at a higher elevation than typically expected. They did and I got an A.
