I would like to make a movie, based on some books I'm writing called "Death in the Trenches, filmed "directly" on location in petersburg, Virginia, and I would like to know, that if the Civil War is one of my favorite subjects in history, and the Siege of Petersburg is my favorite battle of the war, should I make a movie about soldiers marching from the Battle of the Wilderness, to Petersburg, fighting these following battles, based on these following websites:

no you shouldn't make the movie. All the great movies are slice of life character based movies, not situation based. The Civil War has been done to death!!!! if you were going to do a war movie it would have to be not about the war but about a character or a group of characters in an anywar situation(by anywar i mean that their predicament can be viewed with fresh eyes as something that can happen today, and gives the audience more empathy for the cast) otherwise your just doing a history channel excerpt.
