i want to get micro atx mother board and use core 2 duo (6600 - 2.4ghz) and nvidia 7950gx2 with it. will video card work w/o SLI motherboard and will 420W power supply handle it?

Yes it will work without SLI board. From what I've read on the card, It recommends an 800W power supply, alot right? Anyway if you are sure you want to go that route... I assume from you having a micro-ATX board and a 420W PS that you are installing in an Aspire X-QPack case. I have one of these myself and you can replace the PS if you get a Sony CD/DVD drive. For some reason they are shorter and will allow more room for a standard size PS. Hope that helps!

No, you don't need a SLI mobo to use the 7950 GX2, just get a good power supply around 500W is good to power the card and your stuff.
