I appreciate the responses but what I'm specifically looking for is a pump that will run on batteries(AA or D cell for example) so they will be independent of any wiring to the table. I have found several sites showing one but no reference to where they purchased it. If I failed to mention submersible, sorry, I just thought that was a forgone conclusion...thanks again!

Auto parts house 12 volt replacement window washer pump (not submersible) and a power supply from radio shack for low (12 volts) voltage. but they may be louder than you want, Edmond Scientific has some, but I think they are not submersible either, but lower voltage.
