Hey there, well to answer your question no it doesn't come the same day every month (unless you are controlling it using the birth control pill, then you can generally tell). When you first get your period it can be irregular for atleast one year. After a while you will be able to generally judge which week of the month, and maybe even within few days. I know that before I get mine, I have symptoms that tell me its coming in a couple of days (cramps etc..) But not all girls get cramps and stuff, so my suggestion:
Always be prepared. Start wearing a purse (if you haven't already) and keep a pad or tampon in there just in case. Also maybe keep an extra pair of undies in your locker in case you get surprised with it. I saw these neat "disposable" panties at the drugstore that would fit in a purse or locker for incidents due to periods.
I hope this helps. Also please don't be afraid or embarresed to talk to your doctor or a woman you trust about these things (it is a natural fact of life), and sometimes answers.com isn't enough.

ok.. first of all- i've been there! There are so many confusing questions, and you don't feel that you can ask your mom or another women about it.
Talk to an older, trusted friend.. it's less embarassing and helps alot.
Mainly, every 28 days from the first day is the length between your periods. BUT, be aware that in the beginning they're not all 28 days apart. It will take a while before you're "regular".
In the beginning i was every 6 weeks.. now it's all over between 4-6 weeks. VERY CONFUSING!!

one advice tip: tampons are your best choice, even though they may be scary to use in the beginning they're WORTH IT!

It varies from person to person. My period never came the same day until I started using birth control...now it's like clock work every month!! If it's too abnormal then I would talk to a Dr. for ex: if you miss a month or more then I would consult one or if you get it more then every 28 days consistently for a couple of months then again I would consult a Dr. You could be lacking in iron or something else. Exercise, diet and stress can change your cycle, make you lighter or not have it at all. Don't be shy though...the only way you're gonna find things out is if your ask questions!!

Well if you just started it wont be regular it might come 2 weeks in one month or might come in the next 2 months but not the 3rd. Usually what happens is you start and it last 3-7 days..it can be longer or shotter. Then in the nest 28 days you will get it again. And you will see a pattern wen it comes regulary. So have a calender and mark those dates

It generally comes every 28 days. It can vary a little bit in the length it takes and when it starts. Some women are more regular than others. Talk with an older woman about this for advice and getting the products you need.

As somebody else said, it usually comes about every 28 days, but it really does vary for everybody. My friend's always starts within the last two days of the month, but mine aren't nearly as regular. For some girls, it takes a long time to become regular, so sometimes the younger you are, the less regular it is. It also depends on whether or not you exercise frequently and how much you eat.

You'll experience your menstrual cycle every 28 days. Some female's menstrual cycle lasts for 3-5 days. Often if you're nervous or anxious, it may come a few days earlier or later. Don't be alarmed it's normal. It's best to start a calendar and record the days of your menstrual from beginning to end. This will allow you to be aware and prepared. Every woman is different. To some, periods come every 28 days like clockwork, for others every 6 weeks also like clockwork, to some it can be so irregular that they may have it ever few weeks, or can go months without it. Many women are prescribed birth control pills solely to regulate their periods, but unfortunately not every woman can take them, because some can develop blood clots from doing so.

You might want to talk to your mother and find out about her period history, and chances are that you will share it.

It comes 28 days after your last day on your period. Some females are irregular and it might come on later or earlier. Mark your days from now on and observe the patterns.
