This movie worth renting in your opinion if you have seen it??????

will Ferrell is OK, but yes with Jim Carey it would have been spectacular, it has some good moments! it is worth seeing. Nicole kidman is always fantastic.,and the sets are incredible .her house is so cute, and very good Acting by the bit players! in the movie i give it a thumbs up for A worthy effort! I can't give to much away!.

It's corny - and more like a romantic comedy - but Nicole Kidman and Wil Farrell (sp?) are still worth watching. It's not an actual remake of the show - but a movie about remaking the show - check it out - trust me, there's alot worse movies out there!

I haven't seen it yet. It's on my Netflix queue. I'm not a big Wil Ferrell fan and agree that Jim may have been a better choice, although he might have been a bit over the top.
Entertainment Weekly gave the DVD a D

I haven't seen it, but whenever I think Jim Carrey would make a good actor for a role, I get disappointed because he can't play in ensemble; he has to go in and take over all the time which is a pain in the neck.

I never saw it, in part because the premise made no sense to me, about the making of a TV show.
After that one and the "Dukes of Hazzard", I'm now convinced that every sitcom doesn't need to be made into a movie.
