Sexing rabbits is not really hard to do. You can usually do a good job identifying a buck from a doe, at least from the age of 3 weeks and on. An older buck is easy to identify. The head and body is generally more blocky than the doe. Does of the medium and large breeds often develop a fold of skin under their chins. This fold is called a dewlap. Older does are usually larger than bucks of the same breed. A buck's testicles can be seen on a hot day. The testicles must be kept at a certain temperature in order for sperm to be produced. The testicles descend further on hot days and are brought back toward the body on cool days. In this way their temperature is regulated.

first of all the minirex and the velveteen are two completely different breeds of rabbits... depending on the color and markings of the rabbit, is how you should name it... to tell if it's a boy or girl, grasp the rabbit by the scruff of the neck and the ears and supporting his rump with your free hand, flip the rabbit onto his back resting the hind end on your lap... using the hand that is not holding the rabbits ears place your forefinger at the top of the genital area and your thump below the anus... press forward toward the rabbit's head gently with your forefinger... if the rabbit is a boy you will be able to see his penis... if it's a girl, there will only be a slit in the area... for a boy, name him cricket... for a girl, how about princess? anyways i hope some of this helps

Well being as though you don't know if it is a boy or a girl i think that you should name the rabbit fluffy. So that if or when you find out the sex of the rabbit the name will still fit because fluffly can be a boy or a girl...

It's very easy to sex a rabbit...you hold them upside down in your hands, gently look at the holes under butt...If the hole is perfect round it's a male rabbit..Females will be like a slit.not perfect round..As for a name (Velvet) would fit the rabbit.

Snuggles
Mr. Rabbit
Trix Rabbit
(Well, it is for Kindergarten...)

Also, you can ask the kids for some names. I think they would like that.
