You should ask your mother, after all, not only will she know, she is probably also going to pay for it.

I also, seriously, suggest the Goodwill or Salvation Army stores, as they are much much much cheaper, and have many prom gowns that are perfectly good. And nobody will know unless you tell them. Try it! You might find the perfect dress there for just $5. Seriously. There is no shame in getting a good deal. Indeed you should be proud of yourself when you find a good deal.

And you're probably only going to wear it once anyway.

find a nice boutique. some take the name of your school down and only sell one per school, or won't sell the same dress to someone in your school. that way no one else will have it.

if you don't have access, try a dept. store--jc penny, lord and taylor, or a store like Mandee

where are you from? bridal shops will often times have great formal dresses, also deb, and department stores also, macys, jc penney, and ls ayres to name a few
