John T? Yes it's your period. It sometimes starts out as a brownish color.... in a few days you'll most likely have a heavy red discharge of blood. Talk to your mom, or dad, and ask them to buy you some pads.

If you are a female (just checking with a name like John T) then YES it is that time in your life that you are starting your period. And don't be paranoid if you do not actually start yet and have one every month. Sometimes your body has to get regulated.
Go talk to your mother about it and let her help you figure out if you are going to use tampons or pads. There are other choices as well like a menstrual cup.
Your mom is also going to need to take you to the doctor (your first visit to an ob/gyn) and let the doctor check you out.
You may have cramps (normal) you could only bleed one day since your just starting (normal) or you could have a flow for a week. It all depends on your body. And you may feel a little sick to your stomach and/or headache (normal).

And also NOW is the time for you and your mom to sit down and have a heart to heart talk about boys and the fact that you can now get pregnant if the proper precautions are not taken. Please just choose to abstain and leave the boys alone. Your still to young for the boys.
If you don't feel as if you can talk to your mother then talk to another adult female. Or your doctor.

Congratulations you are now entering womanhood. But that does not mean your an adult......lol

It sure sounds like it could be. Ask your Mom for a pad. You're awfully young for a period but it is happening to younger and younger girls these days.

Are there any other symptoms? Have you been peeing a lot? Does it burn when you pee? If so, you could have a really nasty infection. But I think it's most likely your period. Ibuprofen works best for cramps if you get those.

as a matter of fact it is your period. when you get your period if you don't have a tampon or a pad like always ultra thing maxi's with wings best brand ever then it does turn brown as it dries up. do you have stoamch pains on either side of your stomach when you get this stuff out? and does it feel like you are peeing when it comes out? if yes then that is your period don't be ashamed . just start asking your mom for tampons and pads

I'm going to assume you are female. Yes it could be your period, you should talk to your mother. She will need to provide pads or tampons and show you how to use them. Also, she may want you to see a doctor since 10 is a bit young to be having your period.

Brown is usually a sign of old, dried blood. Could be a urine infection. Definately go to a doctor and tell your parents!

I usually get this a cople of days before my period actually starts so it is very likely that your periods could be starting though 10 is young.
