A slider is the cheapest turtle that you can buy and those are about $10 to $15 or higher...heat lamp and bulb is about $20....tanks start at $10 and a top is about $10...floating logs are about $5 to $15...food is about $5 ...water filter to keep water clean runs about $10 to $20 (the walmart ones break really easily when it comes to cleaning up after turtles)..i think that that is all that is needed for a slider..well you could get a water heater making sure that it doesn't get too hot in the water and those are about $10 to $20

The Cosco Scenera is $40 at Walmart. The evenflo triumph seats are also pretty cheap for what they are. For a good seat that rear faces to approx 45lb, and forward faces to approx 65lb would be about $150. Seats like the britax advocate c 70 cost around $400. The diono radian RXT is around $350. The evenflo triumph 65 DLX convertible is $159 from Walmart - it rear faces to 40lb, forward faces to 65lb. Great brand and value for money. I'd definitely go towards this seat

Find out the local laws of them first. Here in NC it is illegal to sell turtles of any type because of the high risk factor of salmonella. You cannot buy a turtle alone in NC but you can buy the setup for around $35 and they will GIVE you a turtle to put in it.

They can get quite expensive and you have to have a lot of equipment for them. Turtles cannot just be put in a bowl with some water and a rock. They need 10 gallons of water for each inch of shell. You need a UVA/UVB light, basking light, food, and more.

From $5 to several hundred depending on the species. You'd get a better answer calling your local pet shop.

the turtles themselves aren't all that expensive, but a proper home for them IS. If you are considering getting a turtle, please please PLEASE do a lot of research on them first, including visits to the store to see how much it will all cost.
