How often do you see mums pick a babies dummy up that has been dropped on the floor, put it in their own mouths then put it back in the babies mouth. Now that is gross.

PS just ask someone who has false teeth to give you one of their sterilising tablets and drop it the glass that has the tooth brush in. Leave to soak for a short time, rinse well and voila clean toothbrush.

When using somebody elses toothbrush you run the risk of contracting germs that they harbor in their mouth. The same germs at home in his body may not be at home in yours. It would be best to stick to your own toothbrush. In a clinch if you have nothing else use the edge of your washcloth to wipe your teeth clean till you get something better.

Absolutely not. - Also, you should never use another's towel, wash-clothe, razor, etc. Why? Research one of the number one growing STD's. The papailloma virus. (Check spelling). This is a genital warts disease, a virus you can NEVER get rid of. Get yourself a biology book and look at the genitals of those who have had these diseases. The mess has to be removed w/ a lazer, and then later when you get another outbreak, they come back. - Your tooth brush should be your own. - If you do share one, it must be sterilized. - Don't be a fool.

what if you're sharing a toothbrush with a partner with whom you'd have already swapped saliva? is it not quite similar?

it's kind of gross, but not as gross as having smoke exhaled in your face.
