Forget tanning! Have you ever seen your Grandmother go to the doctor for skin cancer? Have you ever watched her suffer and cry, while the doctor used a lazer to get the cancers off her skin? You ever seen them burst open and bleed and your Grandmother go through that kind of pain? Is it worth it? Hell no! Im a white woman...Im supposed to be white...not hispanic or any other color. If the world doesnt like how I look, then thats them...Its ok, cause it will be you in the hospital with cancer because you wanted to look good. You cared more for what people thought about you than your own health. Go get some spray on tan and stay out of the sun!! I beg you. Its not worth going through what my Grandmother almost died of.

Okay, I recommend going to a tanning bed. I didn't know how to tan before this year, and I am 25. I was really pale and wanted a natural looking but quick tan. I couldn't seem to tan in the sun and after so much of being sick of it I decided to ask my friend. So now I tan at the salon, its not expensive and I really like it. At first I was afraid and didn't know anything about tanning at a salon but I can say to you - don't be afraid of the tanning salons! They are the best thing that ever happened, and WOW relaxing. Go to your tanning salon in your town and tell them that you have never tanned before and would like to try it. They will likely have sample lotions that you can buy for a couple bucks and let you tan for about 5-6 minutes for your first time, and they will explain to you everything that you need to know. You will love tanning and find that it makes you feel better and look better, and that it is very relaxing.

In the Winter I got to a salon once a week. I prefer the bed instead of the stand up. I do it more for the relaxation than the tan.
In the Summer I don't go, get dark enough outside.

I lather on the sun screen and sit by the pool. It's cheaper than going to the tanning salon. All in moderation though! I don't want to end up looking like a leather handbag later in life!

I don't tan. I turn into a lobster after about 30 minutes of unprotected sun exposure, however.
