The great thing about London is that anyone can call themselves a Londoner, even if they've been living here just a short time. It is a genuinely cosmopolitan city, with people living and working together from every corner of the globe, all calling themselves Londoners. You just need to go to the Notting Hill Carnival to see that. London really is the best city in the world.

You really need to be born in London, grow up there, go to school there and work there before you can be considered as a Londoner. However, you are well on the way to becoming a fully fledged Londoner with parents born there. Perhaps in about 20 years you could say you are a Londoner, especially if you develop a proper London accent and believe that it is the greatest city in the world to live in.

Hmm! Good question!!
I've lived in London all my life and i wouldn't consider myself a "Londoner".
No reason in particular, I just associate the term "Londoner" with some one who speaks like a cockney.
Yet on the other hand, could i be considered a Londoner because i have lived here all my life???
Regards..

How well do you intergrate into London life? Do you take advantage of it's services, visit the museums and theatres? To be a Londoner you have to live a way you can only live in London.
