If your parents always argued, and counseling has not helped, is it wrong to want them to get a divorce?

there are no small kids here to consider, we are all moving on with our lives, but we are sick of hearing the bullshit..day in day out.

No, its not wrong when my ex told me that he didn't love me anymore but I can stay to get my life together at first I was like OK then he got evil and would pick fights and we would argue and at the time my two year old daughter got in between us and kept saying shhhhhhh shhhhhhhhhh so the next day I packed up and left with her it was effecting her and there was no hope with our
marriage he loved another

As adults tell your parents either work it out or leave cause your not getting involved because you love them both then they should respect you wishes

No, it's not wrong. I begged my mother to divorce my father. But... she couldn't. She had 6 kids and a 6th grade education. The difference is that he beat the hell out of her all the time, not only arguing. But the arguing got to me as well. It causes so much chaos in life, not only for them, but for you as well. Then again, some couples enjoy arguing, hope they are not one of them. I think it's their decision to make about the divorce, but if you are able to talk to them, I would tell them how you feel about it all.

no its not....
my parents are arguing right now, and at times i wish they would but you have to think about what might happen if they do get a divorce.....
you would have to pick who you want to live with and that will make things waaaay worse...
there will be a whoooole lot of money issues....not to mention ur parents are gonna be suein ach other for everything and then yall are gonna be in court all the time...

you might have to move far from your friends and family

so its not a bad thing i dont think but if you think about what could happen then its a bad thing you get what i am saying??

i have watched many of my family and friends divorce and i must say it is much harder on them than couples staying together. you obviously cannot explain what they are arguing about but they should try and stay together and sort out their individual problems or their joint problems. i would ask you only one question do they still love one another if you answer yes then get them to hold hands when they argue it is impossible to argue with somebody you are holding hands with. we forget the harm splitting up does to everybody around and involved.

Nope not at all. Its sad but it happens all the time and what you will find is after everyone adjusts they will both be much happier. You won't hear yelling and screaming anymore and they will be more relaxed and suddenly become people who can actually laugh and smile sometimes.

no, it's probably better for them to separate and for you. It's not a healthy situation when parents always argue....and they shouldn't argue in front of children. You should sit them both down and tell them how you feel..............Good Luck!

I think that if they've exhausted all options available to make their marriage work, and it's just...not, then yeah-- I would understand you wanting them to get a divorce.

It might even make them happier that way, a little distance may be just what they need to get along.

no way! If your parents really don't get along, then its probably better for everyone if they separate b/c then they won't be around each other to argue so much.

It is better for them and you if they get a divorce... By then, they will still be friendly to each other unlike till the end where they loathe and hated each other ........
