Does the Bible teach us to go out and work a public job for wages?

Yes, we are meant to work for a living. Ever since Adam and Eve sinned, work has been around. God told them they'd have to work the land in order to grow crops.

Work is also a gift from God, not a punishment. Work can bring great fulfillment (not just as a source of money) to us and those we help when we work.

Jesus had a job too. He was a carpenter. Many of his disciples were fishermen. He taught them to be "fishers of men."

The bible says that a man who will not care for his own household is worse than an infidel!That means worse than someone who doesn't believe in God.
We all have to do something to support ourselves!Especially men who have families.
And also,women who have a husband & kids,should STAY HOME & take care of your house & children!Stop dropping all these delinquents on society!
Don't keep having them & when they are grown,you can go out & work all you want to!

The word of God part of the bible, says to study hard to master what you do, then you will have no reason to be ashamed in doing it ; then you will rightly be able to divide the truth,and answer no ones persecution of the values you gain.
