he has said he was sorry
LOS ANGELES - Mel Gibson's apology for making drunken anti-Semitic remarks isn't enough to redeem him, actor-producer Rob Reiner said.

but i have been keeping up with this story because i was very moved by mels acting, and his movie "The Passion"
I read that the person who arrested him was jewish and thats why he made the statements..but then i read he was irish, which didnt make any since..then i read he had jewish people working for him..which if he didnt like jewish people he wouldnt hire them..but heres what i think i am jewish..i understand alot of the jewish peopel feel that he brought up alot of old issues and people are cruel..i am sorry..i also feel tho if people would look at as it is the jewish people wouldnt have felt this way...

In order to see this movie for what it is..you have to realize that the jewish people feel the blame is on them with his movie..in my feelings he was chosen to do this movie maybe i am wrong..but i know it helped me to understand alot more..
i feel that J-sus knew he was gonna die, because also if you look back the wise men brought him Frankincense and Myrrh the wise men were from Persia this is the spices and oils they put on a body after people died..i figure it was very holy and these men were special but thats not the point here..

I feel what happen in J-sus life was planned out before he came here it is not like us in the way that our life is planned, sure we have things we are supposed to fufill and do and are called to do but i feel that it might have been a little different for him..

I also feel if he wasnt killed that we wouldnt be forgiven as we are today..We have one special J-sus to do that for us even tho he knew we would sin everyday and make mistakes..

I feel the problem with the Passion in most accounts is that it is told from a catholic version..but that is what mel is and that is what he knows just like i know my people and hertiage..

The main thing here is not that Mel did the movie not for hate towards the jews but to allow people to see what J-sus actully did for us..and allow us to know that he loved as this much...

I am sorry if people do not agree with me you do not have to but this is how i feel..

If you would like to view my page after I saw The Passion i made here it is http://www.geocities.com/l8dydragon/the-passion/of-christ.html

One thing i felt that Mel Gibson could do to show he is not a jew hater is this..do a movie as compassionate about the Holocaust
..or a story about the jewish people or work with someone who is jewish on a movie such as Steven Spielberg
I think this would make a statement to the world and maybe end this talk..

Well, he already has apologized to some religious groups and some of them have accepted his apology. We must all understand that he was drunk at the time and when you are drunk, sometimes you do not know what you are saying or you are not aware of what the consequences will be. I am not agreeing with what he did. He made racist remarks about Jews, but he did the only thing he could do. People have the right to think what the want, but they can't go telling everyone what they think because it is guranteed to offend someone. I think the Jewish community has calmed down a little bit because of the fact that he did apologize and if they did get violent, more people would hate the Jewish. They have enough people hating them without more people hating them. At least they didn't start killing people like when the Muslims killed people of their own religion over the Prophet Mohammed. They even threatened that Europe would see the "real" Holocaust after the cartoons. I think the Jewish did do the right thing by not overreacting and accepting Gibson's apology. He did the only rhing he could do. Apologize.

I have said before why in the hell don't people leave Mel Gibson alone. All he did was voice an opinion isn't he allowed tp voice an opinion? Aren't you allowed to voice your opinion? Leave the man alone already. To all of those who critisize Mel gibson or anyone with a high profile Go F..K your hats.

i do no longer recognize concerning to the Jewish human beings yet I seen him in a diverse way after those comments. i'm an uncomplicated Christian lady and located those comments thoroughly disgusting and fully uncalled for. I certainly have not seen any of his movies considering and haven't any desire to...without warning he isn't almost as eye-catching to me as he grew to become into till now the two.

The Jewish community controls Hollywood, so he should have thought a little more about what he said before he said it. He deserves whatever happens to him... oh, and I am not Jewish.

I'm so tired of this racism thing on here. NOBODY is better than anybody else. All of our s*** stinks. Everybody needs to get a grip and start either learning tolerance or take the personal responsibility of censoring themselves.
