Well use covergirl powder that is completely and totally the lightest shade possible. DO NOT USE blush. It is supposed to make you looked flushed and vibrant, definately not "deathly" use black eyeliner around your eyes, but not alot so it looks really dumb. Also try silver or black eyeshadow. Only put it on your lids though. Then above your lids and below your brows apply the powder. I wouldnt recommend black lipstick it scares people and is really hard to get off. But if you are trying to scare people be my guest and use it. I would recommend maybe a burgandy lipstick. You should check out pictures of Evanessence, she has that whole deadly goth look going on and has fab make-up. Hope this helps!!!

Personally, I love the drug-abuser look.
As for ghostly, not my favorite.
Instead of doing the conventional black black black black, I suggest taking a naturally unhealthy approach. Wear sickly colors like pink around the eyes, or yellow, or vomit browns. Make sure your skin is pale so the makeup will stand out.
Make your lips white with pink creases by puckering your lips and putting on a pale pink or whitish lipstick.

For your eyes, instead of going totally black, go for light greys with a light line of smudged black eyeliner, skip the blush and go for a reddish or light purple lip gloss.
Here's a good site for foundation and loose powder.

I recommend the lavender foundation and loose powder. I use the lavender foundation under my usual founddation *Covergirl TruBlend in Ivory* and it works quite well.

use white facial make up, with a touch of eyeshadow rather than blush, such as a mix of deep blue and light purple. you can use, bruised looking colors and black but only a little because if you overdue the black, it just looks horrible.

use a color that is close to your eye color. Find a good foundation color about the same color as your skin. Don't cake on so much make-up though, that just makes people look like a whore. You can also try using natural colors.
