My home is 4 months old. I have numerous problems, a vey long unfinished punch list, and new major issues happening almost weekly. I am now concerned that select ceramic tiles in my kitchen are very warm. They are located in front of an electric stove and the cabinets on one side of it. Behind this wall is my laudry room and garage w/ the hot water heater. Do I have a problem that could be dangerous? Or a sign of something heating up or shorting out. I have a concrete fllor with 12x12 tile on top, no crawl space.

Are you sure there is no heating coil in this floor? If these tiles are on a concrete slab and there is nothing below the slab (i.e., the slab is on-grade), the tiles should not be warming. There should be nothing there that will make the tiles warm. Therefore, there either has to be a warming coil in the floor or infrared radiation from somewhere is warming the floor.

Could this part of the floor be getting a strong sunbeam in the morning? A ceramic tile/concrete floor will hold heat for a long time. If it is not solar heating or some sort of heating coil in the floor, it is very odd. Ask your local fire department if someone can check it for you.

t sounds like your dryer is radiating heat into the tile. Also the hot water heater might be doing the same thing. Your cooking stove certainly would create some floor heat if you are using the oven, mine does and we have never had any problems with it or anything surrounding it.

If it's been doing it for four months and a warm floor is the only symptom, I wouldn't worry about it.

I even have one that suits in my bread basket, It surely got here with the basket. I positioned it in oven as quickly as I positioned my bread in, enable it warmth whilst the bread or rolls bake. Then place fabric in basket positioned a layer over the tile so bread is on fabric fairly than tile. keeps the bread heat throughout the path of dinner. super, it develop right into a contemporary from my Husbands daughter, Bonnie years in the past...long earlier i began making handmade breads!
