sims bursting out ps2?

I've sucessfully got the cheat gnome but cannot get it to do anything can anyone help?
I have a list of cheat codes for objects and locations etc

enter the gnome code and then enter other cheats, then use the gnome, there are all u entered before

it helps to unlock other stuff 2 like to raise motives and to give money thats what the gnome does but u have to unlock that stuff

yeah that's a tricky cheat. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. i don't know about anyone else but for me it stopped working once i beat the story mode.
