i downloaded fonts off of dafont.com into my font folder but when i open my font folder its not there?

Without more information, I am guessing that they are still zipped. Check and make sure the filenames end in .TTF and not .ZIP.

You have to install them into your font folder - not place them there. What I do is save them to my desktop, or to my documents in a folder I name "Fonts" then I go to the control panel, click on fonts, and go to File>Install New Font, then I navigate to my new font folder, click "Select All" and bam, it's done.

I just checked the site. Whatever you download from there, it comes in zip format, so, it's there but you have to unzip it.
Otherwise, download it again

search the file what you downloaded thru windows search. Then dump it in font folder.
And files should be in a format that is recognize by windows. else ......................
